VERSION/DATE: v1.1.0/2010-05-31

ENHANCEMENTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------

- The formatting of graphs has been upgraded. The default line thickness
has been increased, variations in line types and thickness were added
to enhance black and white / printed usability, and the lines also
rotate through an improved set of colors for differentiation.
The line thicknesses and the colors used may be customized for the
Enterprise Reporter server as a whole. The legend and grid lines
were also improved. The use of dotted lines can also be customized,
so that graphs can be drawn in solid lines only or in combination of
  dotted lines and solid lines.

- Usability improvements to the Data Sources - Hosts page. Disabling
and enabling automatic data collection and initiating manual data
collection has been added for filtered lists of multiple hosts.

- Usability improvements to the Create Graph or Edit Graph page
when editing or creating Report Templates.

- The subject and body of e-mailed Reports is more descriptive with
regards to the contents and can be customized by the end user.

- When data collection* from agents is disabled in general, a manual
request through the UI for data collection for one or more agents
  may still be initiated.

- The generation of a report or graph will be preceded by data
collection from the agent as needed to generate the reports or
graphs, even if regular scheduled data collection* is disabled.

- When data collection* for agents is disabled in general, discovery
of new hosts may now be separately enabled and the newly discovered
hosts will have their data collection disabled.

- Regularly scheduled data collection has been reduced to once a day,
and the data collection from agents has been made more efficient.

- Data collection* for hosts may be enabled, disabled, or run for
host that match a search filter.

- Hosts are now listed in the UI and filterable by both IP and Hostname.

(*) Recall that data is stored on the agent by the Reporter
module, so when "data collection" is mentioned it refers
to the collection of that stored data from the agents
    for the Enterprise Reporter database.

BUG FIXES
----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Problems with the listing and graphing of data properties from
  module tables were fixed.

- Improved labeling of data properties originating from Tables.

- The local timezone of the Enterprise Reporter server host is
now used for displaying time in the Hosts, Scheduled Reports,
  and Historical Reports pages.

- Daylight Saving Time changes are now properly handled.

- One rare and a few minor/unexpected data collection* bugs
  were fixed.

- When a data collection* for a specific host is disabled, it will
not unexpectedly be enabled at some point in the future.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The export_data.sh utility included with the product does not work
  as expected.

- When creating a new graph to add to a Report Template, the "Toggle
Host/IP View" option cannot be used before a graph name is entered.

- When using the filters on the "Collection Attempt" and "Last Collected"
columns in the "Hosts" page of "Data Sources", the "From" date can
be set to after the "To" date, and the resulting filter operation
  will not match any hosts.

- PrimeAlert Reporter and PrimeAlert Enterprise Reporter share some
components. This causes problems when one of these products is
already installed and AgentUpdate is used as installation method.

In order to install both products, it is recommended to first
uninstall them using Sun MC's es-uninst program. In a second step
both products can then be installed by selecting them from the
  product list displayed by es-inst.

The following messages will be reported and can be safely ignored:

WARNING: One or more packages were not successfully added.
The following packages were not properly installed:
  HALsmsjre,HALmmstom

UPGRADE STRATEGY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- When upgrading an Enterprise Reporter installation that uses the
built in Postgres database from v1.0.0 to v1.1.0, please ensure
that there is twice as much free space available on the filesystem
as is currently used by the Enterprise Reporter database itself.
This space will be used temporarily while upgrading the database
schema and some of the data within the database. (The location
of the database in v1.0.0 is
  /var/opt/SUNWsymon/HALEnterpriseReporter/db/ )

We recommend that you make a backup of the database prior to
upgrading, and that you stop Enterprise Reporter before beginning
  the upgrade.

- If Enterprise Reporter is being used with an Oracle database,
please call Halcyon Support with regards to upgrading from v1.0.0
  to v1.1.0.
