Use With PrimeAlert EventAction

PrimeAlert EventAction detects when an event occurs in Sun Management Center. On detection of an event, a notification can be sent in the form of an email, page, an SNMP trap, or a user-customized action.

You can configure PrimeAlert EventAction to send e-mails in HTML format that contain a link to the PrimeAlert WebPortal. When this link is followed, the WebPortal will navigate directly to the source of the alarm, so that more detailed information about the problem can be obtained.

A sample e-mail containing this link at the bottom is shown below:

To configure PrimeAlert EventAction to include these links, simply specify the WebPortal URL as a module parameter in the module loading window when you load the EventAction Module. If you have already loaded the module, right-click on the module icon, select Edit Module and specify the WebPortal URL in the module parameter edit window. The WebPortal URL should be:

http://<hostname>:<port>/WebPortal/

If you are using the default HTTP port (80), the port need not be specified. If you are using SSL, use https:// instead of http://.
