Host Management
The PrimeAlert WebPortal provides the ability to add monitored hosts to
domains and groups, and to deleted hosts from these views. This document
describes how to perform these functions.
Adding a Host
Within domain or group view, there will be a text link Add A Host
at the top of the table. Selecting this link will launch the Object
Adder, shown below.

The Label field (optional) is the description which will appear next to
this object. If left blank, the label will default to what you enter
for Hostname.

Description (optional) allows you to specify a long description of the
host to be monitored.

The Hostname field is used to specify either the hostname or IP address
of a host with an installed and running Agent.

Port specifies which SNMP port the agent to be monitored is using.
PrimeAlert Agents use port 161 by default.
Once the table fields have been specified, click the Apply
button to add the host. After the host adding is complete, a results
page will be presented, and the host will appear in the view.
Deleting a Host
When within a domain or group view, hosts which can be deleted will have
a Delete Object... entry in their Context Popup Menu (shown below).
To delete a host from the current view, select Delete Object... in
the popup menu for the host to be deleted.

You will be prompted for confirmation that you wish to delete the host,
after which you may choose OK or Cancel. If you choose OK,
the host will be deleted from the view, and the screen will be redrawn
to reflect the new contents of that domain or group.
