Continuous Update Windows

In all of the PrimeAlert WebPortal views, the upper right hand corner contains refresh information. This appears as shown below:

Information about the time the view was last updated is shown, as well as two buttons labeled Refresh and Watch.

Selecting the Refresh button immediately refreshes the current view. Selecting the Watch button launches a Continuous Update Window, which allows you to continuously monitor a view of particular interest. One of these windows is shown below:

At the top left of the window the update period (in seconds) is displayed in a textfield. The default update period is 120 seconds. To modify the update period, change the value in the textfield and click on the Go Button.

The remainder of the window displays a view similar to the view from where the window was launched. Note that links followed within these windows will open the new location in a separate window, which does not update continuously. Also, alarms cannot be acknowledged within these windows.

TIP: Continuous Update Windows that contain an Alarm Search view or a Host Alarm Summary view will accept changes to the search criteria. Click on the Search Button after modifying the search criteria for the change to take effect.
