BUG FIXES

terminated when the Sun MC agent is stopped in a sparse root zone.

UPGRADE STRATEGY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The following steps must be taken to upgrade to this version of
  EventGateway:

  1) Sun MC 3.0 ships with java version 1.2.2.x which is not supported
with this version of the module. See README file for supported
java versions. If you are using Sun MC 3.0, then you must install
a compatible version of java in either of the following locations:

     a) As specified by the JAVA_HOME variable in the file
        /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/java.home.

     b) In the directory /usr/j2se.

     c) In the directory /usr/java.

Note: for Neuron agent, only locations b) and c) are applicable.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Sun MC 3.6 and up is experiencing problems serving help files from
the server layer. Please refer to Troubleshooting for a workaround
  to this problem.

- The PrimeAlert Event Gateway module does not consistently appear
as an option for the "Module Table" pull-down menu when running
Sun MC Group Operations on Solaris 9.

NOTES
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The listener logfile is deleted when the EventGateway instance is
unloaded. All listener logfiles are deleted when EventGateway is
  uninstalled.

- MIB files for EventGateway are not deleted when EventGateway is
  uninstalled.

- Benign "bad object:" error message appear in the agent.log file
when the very first rule is added manually to "Trap Rules Table".

- When the Trap Rule pattern matches its Close Rule pattern,
no events are generated. Instead, a warning message is written to
  "halevg" agent channel.

- When the Close Rule is triggered before its corresponding Trap Rule,
no events are generated. Instead, a warning message is written to
  "halevg" agent channel.

- When the PrimeAlert FileBrowser is launched, "Current Patterns"
  may not necessarily be current.
