OverviewSun Management Center (Sun MC) agents are autonomous and do not know the status of the Sun MC server to which they are reporting their alarms. As a result, should the Sun MC server become unavailable, alarms from the agents will be missed and users will not be notified of outstanding issues. PrimeAlert High Availability allows agents to detect the status of their Sun MC server. If the server becomes unavailable, the agents will automatically failover to a backup, thereby ensuring a Sun MC server is always available and critical alarms are never missed.
