Overview

The PrimeAlert Adapter for Netcool provides the capability to integrate Sun Management Center (Sun MC) alarms into IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus. The integration is achieved by sending Sun MC alarms as SNMP traps to a host on which a Netcool SNMP probe daemon is running. The SNMP probe daemon receives and interprets the SNMP trap, and forwards an alert to one or more Netcool/OMNIbus ObjectServers.

This module contains all the necessary configuration files to integrate Sun MC alarms with the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus ObjectServer using the method described above

In order to integrate alarms using the Halcyon PrimeAlert Adapter for Netcool, the PrimeAlert EventAction module must first be installed and configured on the Sun MC server host. Documentation for the PrimeAlert EventAction module can be found at:
