Overview

The PrimeAlert ScriptRunner module allows you to run your own monitoring and control scripts and drive alarms based on their status. This is a simple and powerful way to integrate your own scripts for monitoring applications and systems.

The PrimeAlert ScriptRunner module can also be used to perform control functions such as starting and stopping processes. For example, using this module, you can schedule the startup (and shutdown) of an Oracle server and monitor the script's standard output and standard error for error messages. Furthermore, this module can be configured to perform user-specified actions in the event that error messages are emitted in the standard output of the script.

Halcyon has created a set of utility scripts that are bundled in the PrimeAlert ScriptRunner Script Pack that may be downloaded from www.HalcyonInc.com/downloads for use with the PrimeAlert ScriptRunner module on Sun hosts.
