Overview |
| The PrimeAlert EventLogAlert module can be used to monitor
Windows event logs. Several of these log files may be scanned
by loading multiple PrimeAlert EventLogAlert modules in
PrimeAlert agents. Patterns may be added, removed and
edited in the module. |
| Your version of Windows may offer the following types of event logs: |
- System: contains events that are specific to the
Windows system.
- Application: contains events that concern Windows
applications.
- Security: contains events that are important to
the security of the Windows system.
- Hardware Events: contains hardware events that have been
generated in the Baseboard Management Controller System
Event Log. This type of log is only available on
systems that support the Intelligent Platform Management
Interface (IPMI) and with only select versions of
Windows. For example, Window 2003 Server R2 supports
this event log type. See your Windows guide for more details.
- Forwarded Events: contains events collected from
remote computers. This log type is only available
on select versions of Windows. For example, Window 2003
Server R2 supports this event log type. See your Windows guide
for more details.
