VERSION/DATE: 2.1.0b/2008-03-10

ENHANCEMENTS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Added Sun MC 4.0 support

- Added support for Solaris zoned environment.

- Help documentation update.

- Dropped support for Solaris 2.6 and 2.7.

- Tarball renamed to HALOracleDB_[version].tar.gz

- All Oracle Archiver processes are now monitored as
a group within the Process Management node.

BUG FIXES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Fixed issue where change in NLS_LANG environment variable could
cause module to appear as down.

UPGRADE STRATEGY
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- None. This release is compatible with the previous version.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The module does not correctly report the "Archive Directory" field
and the "% Archive Space Used" field when the archive log
destination is changed dynamically by the user. See the
  TroubleShooting file for work around.

- Periodic benign "bad object:" error message is written to the
  agent.log.

- Module fails to revert to monitoring the resources of a local
database if it's module load parameters have been modified to monitor
a local database. See TroubleShooting file for work around.

- Module fails to monitor the resource of a local database if at some
point a module was loaded to monitor a remote database with the same
instance. See TroubleShooting file for work around.

- Module continues to monitor the Oracle archiver processes if at
some point after the module was loaded the Oracle archiver processes
are stopped. The workaround is to manually delete the row from
  the ProcessAlert submodule.

======================================================================
VERSION/DATE: 2.1.0a/2006-10-10

ENHANCEMENTS

Now the module uses halproc library instead of SunMC's agent proc library.

BUG FIXES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- None.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- See VERSION 2.1.0.

UPGRADE STRATEGY
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

======================================================================
VERSION/DATE: 2.0.0/2004-04-30

ENHANCEMENTS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Added capability to monitor Oracle RAC. The PrimeAlert for Oracle
RAC is required in addition to this module.

- Added capability to selectively disable sections of the module.

- Added Support for Sun Management Center Group Operations.

- Added Support for Sun Management Center Performance Reporting Manager.

- The HALDBMSAlertOracle-check.sh script is installed with the agent
  packages under $ESROOT/modules/sbin.

- Documentation improvements.

BUG FIXES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Implicit Temporary Table (TT) locks will not accumulate in Oracle.

- Segments that have been partitioned will be properly monitored.

- The HALDBMSAlertOracle-check.sh script returns module load parameter
names that match the module load window.

- Rows in the "Fragmentation (tracked)" section will only go into alarm
if they cross an alarm threshold. Previously it was possible to have
  false alarms.

- Modifications to the rows and thresholds of the Processes,
File Sizes, Directory Sizes, and Patterns tables of the module are
  persistent across agent restarts.

- If the module is disabled, all sub folders will now reflect the
disabled state (i.e. will show the disabled icon).

- False message in the agent.log indicating the license has expired
  has been fixed.

- When the module has been disabled, alarms are no longer reported
from the log file scanning sections.

- Module will correctly determine if it should be loaded to monitor
a local database on a system with multiple interfaces.

NOTES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Removed Solaris 2.5.1 support.

- Removed Sun Management Center 2.x support.

- Removed default alarm limits from the Fragmentation section.

- Segments owned by SYS or SYSTEM are no longer reported in the
  Fragmentation section.
