Overview

The Halcyon PrimeAlert Adapter for Tivoli provides the capability to integrate Sun Management Center (Sun MC) alarms and alarm management into the IBM Tivoli framework. This integration is achieved in one of two ways:

  1. Converting Sun MC alarms into SNMP traps to be received by the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) SNMP adapter
  2. Using Tivoli Endpoint or Tivoli Managed Node Communication protocols to forward Sun MC alarms to a Tivoli Enterprise Console server.
This module contains all the necessary Tivoli configuration files required to integrate Sun MC alarms with the Tivoli Management Framework using the methods described above.

In order to integrate alarms using the Halcyon PrimeAlert Adapter for Tivoli, the PrimeAlert EventAction module must first be installed and configured on the Sun MC server. Documentation for the PrimeAlert EventAction module can be found at
