Support Lifecycle


Halcyon offers comprehensive support for all products in two active tiers: Regular and Gold, as described on our Technical Support page. In addition we offer Sustaining Support for products that have entered the end-of-life phase of their lifecycle: those packages have had transition dates published below and will be migrated to Sustaining Support at that time.

Sustaining Support offers the following benefits:

  • Continued access to support personnel, product distributions, and knowledgebase. Long-term users can easily refresh their product knowledge, and new users are not left on their own as they take on new responsibilities.
  • Authorization to download all available product patches.
  • Halcyon retains a historical record of issues, fixes and workarounds used in your environment that were handled by our support staff. This information makes upgrade and migration projects faster, easier, and more likely to succeed.
  • Retained eligibility for 24x7 support uplift on critical systems.

Sustaining Support differs from the Regular and Gold tiers as follows:

  • Software is not certified against new versions of monitored product, or for new versions of Operating Systems.
  • No new patches will be made available after the published transition date.

The tables below outline all Halcyon Neuron and Halcyon PrimeAlert products along with their current support state. The PrimeAlert product line is focused on interoperability with Sun Management Center, while the Neuron line has been tailored for standalone use.
